In the United States, healthcare is reasoned as a right, or as a privilege. In Ethiopia, healthcare is nonexistent. For every 100,000 Ethiopians in need of immediate medical care, only 1 doctor is available to them. One doctor is responsible for the lives of over 100,000. The demand far exceeds any supply. H.A.P.P.Y. sees healthcare as another pillar of sustainability necessary for any country to thrive.

It is imperative to build a modern hospital for the Tigray region, located at the heart of Tembien. It will further reinforce the well-being of H.A.P.P.Y.'s orphans presently attending the Tilahun Belay Kindergarten. Furthermore, it will stabilize the inhabitants of the region, increasing the workforce for Ethiopia. In turn, productivity will increase, which will better the Ethiopian economy, bringing it closer to a flourishing, first-world nation.

We are presently taking kind donations to build this modern hospital, as well as to educate more Ethiopians with a medical degree, and to purchase a fleet of ambulances and emergency response motorcycles.

Education plants the seed, water purification will nourish it, and healthcare will make the seed grow to a mighty acacia tree.
