Kindred Spirit

Seven year-old Max Goldsmith has been involved with H.A.P.P.Y. since the ripe age of 4. During a H.A.P.P.Y. Dinner for Charity held at Chapman University, he told founder Michael Belay, “If you can do it, so can I! When I get older I am going to do something just like this.” He has been a special friend and ally of H.A.P.P.Y. ever since.

This year, in lieu of birthday gifts, dear Max asked for donations for the schools in Ethiopia. We received 3 backpacks and another large bag filled with paper, pencils, paper clips and many other school supplies that are much in need. Max frequently has selected books from his own room to donate to the children and schools. Proud parents Glen, a healthcare administrator, and Melissa, a university professor, have also been proud supporters of H.A.P.P.Y. in many ways. Last year, they helped donate much-needed backpacks and other supplies to the organization.

Max is an amazing young man already doing incredible work. It humbles us to see such conviction and wholeheartedness within this kindred spirit. Yes you can do it Maxand together we will collectively reach heights and meet goals that will make this world a H.A.P.P.Y. place!
